Fugger no longer works for the project and is not officially recognized as a founder of Ripple. Fugger’s idea for Ripple comes from far back as 2004 and its first manifestation was called RipplePay. Discussions with Chris Larsen and Jed McCaleb led to the latter two taking over the direction of Ripple.
